  • Re: Hard Top Relay - Salt Lake City to Boston

I'm going to try to bring this thread to a close by posting 17 final pictures.
The closest I can figure the top traveled 3,486 miles.
People and their T-Birds traveled an additional 2,122 miles without the top for the sole purpose of getting it.
Our T-birds traveled 5,608 miles for the purpose of this relay.
The first three pictures are of the card Vickie/Dizbee made that traveled with the top and everyone signed and logged.
The other 14 pictures are from a portable camera that traveled with the top. I selected them from 40 pictures and are in the order they were taken. Perhaps by looking at the travel log and knowing some of these members yourself you can figure out who everyone is. I have a pretty good guess on most, personally know a few but don't want to offend anyone by guessing wrong. I will number them so if anyone wants to own up to them or confirm who they are please chime in.

That's me and Ed (mtnski) in pic no. 6 in Springfield, MO, just prior to putting the top on my PCR.
Nick, thanks for entrusting me with your new top. It was an honor.
Also, so great to meet Jerry (jbest).
To anyone who hasn't taken part in one of these relays all I can say is you don't know what you're missing!

The white top looks great on light ice blue. The white accent really pulls it together.

It was truly amazing and wonderful to read about (and see pictures of) everyone pitching in to complete the relay.

                      Congrats, Nick!

Hi Nick, congrats on the new top . The car looks FANTASTIC. What a great bunch of people to do this for you. Wish there would have been more time to get together at Skips but I was continuously being asked questions about the Cudas
You sure have me thinking about getting another top for mine. Best of luck and look forward to getting together again.

Well I decided to bring this thread back to life one more time. As a thank you to the members that participated in this great event I have created a commemorative poster. They are all printed and I expect to have the mailing tubes here tomorrow. Hopefully, by this weekend they will be in the mail to twelve awesome people. If you would like to see it click onto my personal web page and from the home page click on the Photo Page tab. It is the first image posted on that page. I use this site for other work I do as well so please either forgive or enjoy the advertisement.
