Bird Poop on a Black RagTop

I am thinking of going on a 1200 mile vacation with the hard top Off this time.

How should I handle geting white bird dropings (splaterings) off of the black ragtop while on this trip. Bring lots of water and black towels? High pressure Car wash?

Any help would be appreciated. I know there is a thread somewhere with this discussion.

Best thing is to be sure not to park under any utility wires while stopping to eat or for the night. I think Sea Gulls are the worst, these flying rats will eat anything and they love to hang out around eating establishments that leave their garbage dumpsters open. If you do get hit, get it off right away, if it's the rag top or the paint. Glass is the only safe spot.

When I first purchased my bird, the birds in my parking garage at work attacked one day. I was just glad I saw it before I put the top down. I drove home with it up, waited until the mess dried, then hit it with a stiff brush. Then I proceeded to wash it off, and it came completely clean.

Where do you get Ragtop? I looked all over town and found nothing. Looked in Autozone, OReileys and Advance auto parts.

Do a little out of the box thinking. Keep your top down all the time. Vinyl/leather insert seats are easier to clean than black fabric convertible top.
