  • damaged bra

I had an incident with my thunderbird bra last summer when I was putting it on for Interstate travel. When I attached the elastic hooks for the small hood part of the bra, I lowered the hood and both of the plastic hooks broke. I did not put the bra on and have not attempted to attach either part since. If I use the hood portion of the bra will I have potential damage to the car because of the elastic not being used?
I have seen some bras on the highway looking like flags in the wind. What should I do?

    Re: damaged bra

Without the straps in place there could be too much movement resulting in rubbing the paint. Go to an "old fashion" true hardware store and you will probably be able to find something to use in place of the broken hooks. Another suggestion would be the small bungie (SP??) cords available.

I know that many TBNers have replaced the plastic "S" hooks with metal ones from their local hardware stores.

You probably put the hooks in the wrong slots. I did this the first time, too and broke the hooks. The hooks go in the smaller slots.

Regardless of whether they are metal or plastic, I can undo bra hooks using only one hand.
