  • '04 Torch Red in Loganville, GA

GrayEagle and I have been monitoring an '04 Torch Red here in Loganville that is in a driveway and never seems to move.

Today, I met the owner at the Post Office and he confirmed that it hasn't been driven yet this year. He says it has 3,000 miles on it and he ought to drive it more but never gets around to it.

He has no apparent interest in selling the car and seems to have no interest in going on line to meet other T-Bird owners and drivers.

So there it sits, oxidizing in the sun day after day.

    What a waste.

Check out www.carmax.com. There are 48 birds for sale.

We bought ours from them in Feb. Easiest deal I've ever made.

Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Dang!! That's just sooooooooo wrong. I have an extra T-Bird Cover. Next time you run into him, let him know. I'll let it go really really cheap, if that is all it will take to get it out of the Sun.

Hey, your right they are very easy to deal with. I am dealing with them right now, on them buying my Dodge Pickup. Looking at a Sport-trac.

On the buying side is'nt carmax really tight? I"m guessing they pay no more than 80% of what you would get in a private sale.

I bought my 03 bird from Carmax and was very satisfied with the process and got an excellent deal on my trade in. I had them ship the car from another city to Houston sight unseen and the car was pristine as the said over the phone. I had photographs but they can lie. They usually have a good selection of T-birds and they offer a reasonable extended warranty. Good advice; get the warranty.

            Have a great day,

I also purchased my Red 04 TBird Premium with 6100 miles from Carmax. They provide you with a copy of Carfax and Auto Check reports. Also gave me the number for Ford Customer Service to run the Vin number to check warranty repair work and recall information. Paid $25000 back in Jan of this year. Paid an extra $1200 a week later for a 5 year 60000 mile warranty agreement that is transferable for a $100 fee or refundable on a prorated basis. Extremely smooth transaction, they even issued my license plate on the spot since they have DMV authority on site. They also have a 3 day return policy. My TBird has been SO MUCH FUN without any trouble what so ever! Best car buying experience in 30 years and over 57 cars. Worth a few extra bucks without the hassle. If they don't have what your looking for they will ship a TBird in from another location without obligation to buy! Best decision I made in a long time to buy my TBird!

When you log into www.carmax.com and do a vehicle search, you have to select a radius from your zip code. To find all 48 Tbird's (as of this morning) in the US, make sure you select in the radius box the entire US, not the default radius. Hope this helps!
