    Gary,
You might be out of luck on this. I have never seen the bronze on any aftermarket site. Take good care of the bronze trim you do have. I'll bet it's expensive if you have to ever buy any from Ford.

Thanks Claude for the advise. If I did do it I wouldn't trim out everything to much wood for me.I think I'll put the money some place else.

        Re: Dash Kits

The bronze kit is available through powersports, I have it in my bronze 05 with sand interior. It is the exact match to the oem trim with the exception that all pieces are flat with out beveled edges... you have to do that yourself...carefully. The door sill pannels are a little sharp and require a litte word to "soften" the edges so they are not too sharp. I didn't keep the pieces on the air conditioner vents on the dash... Thought it was too much. Again this is factory material and is lazer cut and has to be reworked some, but worth the effort. If you search on this site under chrome dash kits you will find more info on this.

VABird I guess you see my point, if you don't include DavidA's tinfoil dash there were only 2 or 3 different cars in the links you provided...kind of like Ebay where all the pictures of Tbird dash kits are of other cars.

Are you happy with the look of yours?

Sent Gwfl (Gary) a PM telling him to look at this post since there IS an aftermarket source for the BRONZE trim - I didn't think there was.

              Re: Dash Kits

Here's a couple of photos of my proposal for the trim in my car. This is just fixed on with light glue.

                Re: Dash Kits

                Hi there,

This has been stated many times before on this web-site and I completely agree. That is, we each own our own cars and they are ours to do with as we please.

However, I think when someone posts pictures of a proposed alteration like Gary has just done, I'm guessing that they may not be entirely sure of their proposed modification and are in fact asking for opinions from us other folks.

Gary, in this case I would have to give a thumbs down. From the picture you are showing, there seems to be too many 'finishes' going on in the same area. The finishes that our birds come with when new are designed to sit well together. The leather, the metal areas and the plastic colors all blend and in most cases give a nice overall harmonius effect.

The introduction of that wood effect on the door there just kind of looks 'odd-ball' to me and gives the whole interior a jittery look. It's as though the person who designed it was not able to make up their mind.

Once again. this is just my humble opinion and I don't want to offend anyone. I have badges stuck on the front of our car and I dare say a lot of T-birders don't like the look of that.

I make a living as a designer and I spend most of my time working with color and textures,(usually for hotels and restaurants - not cars), so I hope after 30 years, I should have some idea of what I'm talking about.

                All the best, Gordon.

                  Re: Dash Kits

Gordon: I'm afraid I have to agree with you. The reason I didn't do a permanent install is that something didn't feel right about the look. You helped define it well. Thanks

What if I had them painted a high gloss to match the seat color to act as more of the partial accent?

Sounds like I'm grasping at straws...need to let this idea go!

Brad, those were all from the same thread. As for mine, I LOVE it, and IMO Ford should have had this upgrade from the factory. It really makes a tremendous improvement in the interior.

                      Re: Dash Kits

This was the kit I installed in my '03. Personally, I loved it. Mine is shown on page 6, Post 130. but this entire thread has a number of different kits installed for your viewing pleasure...or viewing horror, as you see it.

Now that my '05 has the full red accent, I'm not sure WHAT kit I will install, but you can place money on the fact that I'm going to install one.
