Does anyone know whether the 2003 Bird was available with the Homelink system or if it was optional?

Wasn't available. I installed a self-dimming/homelink mirror. Others have put the 2004/2005 homelink in the earlier Birds. -

Instructions for installing one on an 02 are on this site and my site and probably a couple of others. There's probably not much difference installing one on an 03 if you use the 04/05 header.Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64
