Just wanted to post here that Sandy and I are planning to sell the Bird this summer as we prepare for a more practical approach to life.
Yes, it's true; she is retiring in two years and we just don't see this car working for us any longer.
It seems like we are always needing a back seat to do fun things with family and friends. As a result, the Bird sits home even on nice days as we take the Escape for a wine tasting trip, or other day trip. Oh well, we had a lot of fun over the 8 years, including the time from concept, to delivery, to today.
We especially enjoyed the TBird events with our friends here. In fact, if not for those times, we probably would have sold the car two years ago. This is the longest I have ever owned a car, so I guess that shows how much we have enjoyed it and all of you.
I have posted the car in the classified section here, and have begun advertising locally. I still plan on checking in here, and will not completely "drop off the edge of the Earth."

Life is to short to be practical!! That's what I keep telling Jer!! We have so enjoyed your company too!! That doesn't mean you can't still join us!! You will always be our T-Bird friends!!

I too am looking forward to retirement but I thought I would be able to use the TBird alot more than I do now. Would have the time to just drive around or take trips to the Thunderbird events. Best of Luck to you.
