Six Years Ago Today

[Blue Heaven]

Well, it's after midnight and officially July 2nd (on the east coast anyway), so I can now post this. It was six years ago today that we picked up a shiney new Thunderbird Blue T-Bird from Able Ford in Rockville Centre, NY. The anticipation that morning was unbearable! The ferry ride from Bridgeport, CT to Port Jeff, NY seemed to last for days...The drive out to the dealership was agonizing. But at 1:30 pm that day, it all became worth it!! There she stood, gleaming in the sun. I can still remember how it felt to turn the key for the first time.

During the past six years, and mostly through this site, Susan and I have come to meet the finest and kindest people we've ever known. What is about owning one of these cars that brings people together like this? I'm sure we all have a thousand answers to that question, every one of them a good one. It's been one heck of a ride, and we look forward to continuing it for as long as possible!!

You are correct, without our TBirds and TBN we never would have met and enjoyed the people that we have met over the past 6 years.
And I include all the nice folks on-line as well as our extended New England family, that now reaches from Canada to the Carolinas.
This month marks my 6th year with TBN and in another month, August 3rd, we too will be on our 6th year with the new Bird.
So to all that have, or are approaching six years of joy, !!!!
