It's official now....2004 Thunderbirds are covered....
Re: It's official now....2004 Thunderbirds are covered....
Greg,
Take a look at your letter and head back to your Ford dealer. The letter references 2 programs, 07M07 & 07N09. Program 07M07 should have covered your problem as you described it. Program 07M07 covers any coil that fails stress testing. It clearly states coil failure causing a misfire condition for any reason. Program 07N09 covers coil problems caused by contamination. If the dealer is still ignorant on how to intereprit the letter, take your cell phone and call Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center at 1-866-436-7332. That is on the back of your letter under "Can we assist you further?" - Retail Owners. It will make the service technician look like the idiot he is. Go tomorrow. Follow up with a letter to the service manager regarding their inadequacy causing your inconvience.
Re: It's official now....2004 Thunderbirds are covered....
The coil obviously failed a stress test or they should not have replaced it. If they replaced it without it being bad, that's fraud. Through the end of the extendd coverage provided by these programs, you should never have to pay for coil replacement. If you had a check engine and wrench light come on, there "should" have been a code. Sounds like he is now trying to cover his mistake. With your $.
