    Re: Protection for quarter panel

    Robert,
I have Invinca shield (no longer in business), but the material is very similar to Xpel. I have done some research on Xpel which I will use when the Invinca Shield needs replacing and from what I understand from some of the TBN members, and talking with an Xpel installer, they can cut some of the material manually and make protection for the top of the quarter panel.
It's a good question, and maybe some of the people that have Xpel protection can say if the method I mentioned above is the way it was handled on their cars.

Patric, The "sail panel" kit comes with the pieces that go on the quarter panels as well, or at least mine did. If you're planning on having someone put it on for you take one of the Ford quarter panel strips with you and have them cut the Expel to match. The template they use sticks out past the hard top quite a bit

I have the Invinca Shield on mine but I believe that this product and the Expel are one in the same product. It's a 3M product and when we lived in PA. there was an Auto Paint Supplier I used from time to time that sold the 3M stuff in a roll and you would have to cut to fit it to whatever you were doing.
