All high and dry here in the Houston area. The Hurricane was well south from us. Just rain the past couple days with some wind gusts yesterday. The Bird is hibernating and awaiting better weather before she comes out.
I live in San Antonio which is 150 miles from the Gulf and 250 miles from where Dolly hit land. We have had rain all day and a few small tornadoes but very little damage. We are in a drought so the rain was welcome.
My daughter-in-law and two granddaughters were in an RV park on the beach on an island just south of Corpus Christi. They left the RV at the park and moved into a hotel last night. All are fine and it was a big adventure for the girls. They are going back to the RV today.
I should note that we did not have enough rain to stop Bonnie from driving the T-Bird to work today. I think it would take more than a tornado to get her out of her Bird.
Still just day-dreaming about it. I don't know if we are up to driving that far in the Bird.
Don, we too are day-dreaming about going to LV in Oct. That is a looong drive but it sounds like fun and we haven't been to LV in a while. We are new to T-Birds and haven't yet attended a TBN event but would like to.
Maybe if we both decide to go we can caravan. I'll let you know our plans when we decide. Do you know of any one else from this area that may be going?
