I am not taking up for this person who flipped someone off, but there also might be a reason he waved with that finger.
Too Funny!! Actually since this thread came up, I'm kind of worried.

Quiite often in the South, when one driver passes an oncoming vehicle in the country, we give a little wave. My left thumb, and sometimes my forefinger stay on the wheel, as I raise the other three...it's just a friendly little gesture.

Yesterday, on my street, an oncoming car gave me room to pass by pulling over and waiting for me to go first...I gave him the little wave. I sure hope nobody mis-interprets my friendly gesture, for "flipping them off!"
That could get dangerous in the Dallas!!

And trust me, when I do "flip somebody off" it's with much more enthusiasm...there's no mistaking it for a friendly gesture!

I've never had a Bird diver flip me a bird, but I wave at every one I see, and there seems to be some Bird owners out there who just look at it as just a car....don't know why anyone would buy one who is not a true Bird 'fan'....so they don't wave back.

Maybe it wasn't his bird and he is just a jerk. Would hate to live with or work with someone with that kind of attitude. Life is too short to go thru it that way.

That's horrible! Being a bird owner, when you see another Bird flashing his lights at you or honking you don't take it as a bad thing! That's a golden rule! You automatically assume that they're trying to say HI! JEEZE!

I found out who the owner of the 007 Bird is and now it doesn't surprise me that he did that. He used to come in to a place where I worked and never was a pleasant person to deal with.

Unfortunately there are a lot of angry, miserable, unpleasant people in the world. Again, unfortunately some of them own Thunderbirds. Any true car lover does not act that way when they meet one of their own on the road, no matter what kind of car they are driving. Just can't explain some people. Just displaced anger, typical character of angy, miserable, unpleasant people. They are usually lonely as a result and the very ones that could be their friends and pushed away by their character.

Gene, it must be a Jersey thing. The cell in the PD I retired from had a sign on the door "Attitude Adjustment Suite". Tony, Vincent "The Chin" Gigante used to live two towns over. Back in the 70's he paid off the whole town's PD. they all got fired.
