NO one has stated do or don't based on their post, simply posted their experience. The post are for you to make your own judgement call.
I'm not going to get into reading comprehension, but there are several who say DON'T DO IT! There are a few who say, "I've been smoking for 40 years and I am as healthy as a horse!" or some such thing. That is, they cite their examples of no problems despite watering down the engine bay.

I suspect most people would interpret the latter as at least a tacit suggestion that it is perfectly all right to power wash the engine.

You are certainly right that this is up to everyone to make their own judgment. It is their car, after all.

I don't think it is necessary for you to disagree with everything I say just because I called you on your earlier post referring to lawyers. Whatever turns you on.

Wasn't even referring to you Joe. On the same note, I don't expect to have to put up you with every time I respone to a post. Again, You must be a angry individual. Don't read into my post what you think I mean or don't mean. Or anyone elses for that matter. Alot of people actually mean exactly as the say, nothing more. You are obviously a angry lawyer.

        Re: Detailing Engine

I spray a rag with my cleaner and wipe the engine compartment down as much and as often as I can. I feel I keep my car in show condition but then again it is not a daily driver. COP problems aside, I just think preasure washing or even spraying or flushing the engine compartment with that many electric componants and a computer is just asking for trouble. I do the same thing on the interior. I spray the rag. You get some liquid dripping down on electrical componants like window or seat switches, light switches, other toggle switches and there is no telling what will happen. Maybe it's just me but that is what I do.

I don't believe my engine compartment has ever been dirty enough to require pressure washing
