Dad & Lad in Car Show

Saturday and Sunday my Son and I entered our cars in the Portage, Indiana Steel Wheels Car Show at Woodland Park. He has a 2007 Shelby GT Mustang that he has won first place awards with and I entered my 2004 T-bird for the first time. Sunday there were at least 100 cars entered. We were both picked among the top 30 First Place Winners and each recieved a nice wall plaque. Pictured are my Son Sonny, Grand-Son Jacob, Grand-Daughter Megan, Me, and my newest Grand-Son Nick. In my next thread I'll have some pics of a SWEET 1957 T-Bird that was there.

Looks like everyone had a great time. Certainly an enjoyable way to spend the weekend with the family.

I've never taken the Thunderbirds to a car show but I've shown a number of classic cars over the years. Around here, some of the car shows have gotten to be 3 and 4 day events so I haven't been as active since 2004. Most of the ones I've participated in more recently were 1 day events.

Way to go, Leroy.... I always enjoy a car show because of the interesting discussions/questions which happen at the shows. Getting recognition with a trophy is nice way to top things off....
