You think they sound good now, just wait until you get that front end opened up with the CAI and the car can really breath. They will also keep getting better & better for the next 300/400 miles while everything settles in and adjusts to the new air flow.

Great to hear this, John.... I honestly didn't expect my enthusiasm for an exhaust system to be at this extremely high level !! All I can say is I am so glad that Borla made a system for the '02, and I could find one at a great price with relative ease. On a separate note, I just had to go underneath Bluebird tonight (in the nest of course), and polish the system a little more... ..

Since I started the Borla Club and the list of members, I would like to welcome you into the Thunderbird Borla Club Mark. You will enjoy the new sound, but will unfortunately join the Bad Mileage Club too, along with the rest of the Borla owners, because we all love stomping on the gas pedal to hear the full impact of that Borla sound!
FYI, as soon as you add the CAI, you won't notice the gradual sound increase in Borla sound that goes along with the Borla break in period of a few hundred miles, the CAI will increase the sound instantly as soon as you add it. Have fun Mark!

Leroy...I dropped the resinators and tucked up 18" glasspacks...and used the Original tips.

Sounds Good and I also like the look of the OEM tips.

Ebird, What holds the tips on the pipes? I would like to move mine out a little bit more. I was under the back of my car taking a couple pictures for this thread and I noticed they could've been farther out. There is a little half circular cut out at the bottom edge of each one, is that for access to a set screw of somekind? Leroy

when the resinators were cut off,the 18" glasspacks were fit with a small length of pipe and then the OEM tips.

I think you are right,you need to have yours extended out farther.It could
damage the rear pan or paint.
