I was browsing through some of my older Collectible Automobile magazines and re-read the first issue of 2002 and an interview with James Powers. Powers worked for Ford design from '55 to '64 and is generally credited with the design of the '61 Thunderbird. He set up his own consulting studio in California after he left Ford.
Accompanying the article were some sketches that Powers prepared for Ford in 1997. Apparently he was aware of the plans to develop a new T-Bird and design and prepared a proposal for Ford as well as some thoughts for a Lincoln personal car.
I thought that some of you may wish to see these designs. I particularly like the Lincoln two seater design with the enclosed rear wheels.
