    What a shame.

I wonder if the door was really ajar or that faulty switch in the door that thinks the door's ajar and keeps ding, ding dinging.....driving you insane.

I'm not impressed with the way the birds handle. I think they're way too light.

Very sad indeed, the Bird can be replaced but that lady's life cannot.

Tbirds are fairly rare, but wildlife rehabilitators are even rarer. There aren't enough of us to go around as it is & to lose even one is a sadness for all.

Long time lurker, this finally brought me to register and post. I am a volunteer at the wildlife hospital, WildCare, where Julie worked. She was a wonderful, warm, friendly woman who taught many children to enjoy and appreciate nature. She will be missed, and the comments here honestly touched me. Thank you!

              Janet,

Your post brought me to tears. Sorry for your loss.

Please offer our condolences to her friends, family and co-workers.

Welcome to The Nest. You both worked at the same place and you both have TBird's?

                  Barbara -

It's funny you ask. I was surprised when I saw she was driving a T-Bird because I couldn't believe I wouldn't have heard she had one too. I talked to one of the full time staff people who didn't know if she had a T-bird either. We're speculating it was her sister's car and so Julie wasn't familiar with it.

On another note, I shared the link to this topic with another friend from WildCare and she responded, "I can't think of how few such postings have been completely without an a******. You T-Bird drivers are a bit of alright."
