I am in charge of the tour stop in Richmond, VA on Sunday, September 7. I am hoping as many Thunderbirds as possible show up. I have made the arrangements with the Capital Police and they know we are coming and we have the offical OK to drive to a position near the Capital Building and have the photos taken.
Right now, the only thing I can tell you is we are meeting at the 9th Street entance to the Capital Grounds at 10:00 that morning. If possible, I will be scouting a site up I-95 for people to meet and then caravan with the 48 in 08 Tour as they approach Richmond. Will let everyone know when I determine the place.
After pictures, we are going to Bottomsup Pizza for lunch. After lunch, the tour members are heading to North Carolina to visit the Capital in Raleigh.
If you think you might be able to attend, let me know so that we can tell Bottomsup Pizza about how many members will be attending.
Hope folks in the Mid Atlantic area can attend.

Oh, Steve - that sounds so much more fun than what I'll be doing...maybe they won't notice if I don't go to the wedding - even if I AM doing the wedding cake & catering the rehearsal dinner (yeah, right)!

I am the Activities Chairman for one of the three chapters of the Classic Thunderbird Club International and ended up with the responsiblity of planning the photo op. On the other hand, I like being involved and doing things, so no big deal. It should be a fun day. I am hoping to meet the caravan at the Ladysmith Rest Stop and lead them into Richmond and the Capital. Also, depending on how this weekend goes, I may ask Governor Kaine if he wants to come out and say HI to the Thunderbirds. See what happens.

Are there any Buckeyes that might join the parade when the Troupe passes thru on the way to Columbus? It looks like 8/26 they'll leave Dearborn & come down 75 till they head east - interested anyone?? WLW
