  • Headlight adjustment

My headlights are aimed too low according to the measurements in the manual. Tried adjusting upward but can't find the 6mm allen screw to turn that is in the book. There is a rectangular black box with a screw projecting upward next to the bolt that holds the headlight to the frame. Could this a a 90 degree angle adjusting screw???

    Where do I go???

      Re: Headlight adjustment

Took mine to the ford dealer for adjustment. Cost $15 and what a difference. After all they have the tools to do it right. So why mess with doing it yourself.

Yes, that's it. Super easy and free to do.

That small allen is the adjuster? Is it the only one?

Yes, according to the users manual the lights only go up-down. Left-right adjustment is not supported

                Re: Headlight adjustment

We had a WW '02 with a headlight problem. To correct the problem, we traded the '02 WW for a '03 DSB. End of problem.

                  Re: Headlight adjustment

Many many moons ago, I used to slam the headlight with my fist/wrist. That saved me $5 at many state inspections. Not sure I want to do that today.

Tried the method suggested and it worked just fine. Adjustment is up and down only.

That did it ...Much Nicer...Very Easy ...4mm wrench/socket does the trick!

Glad you guys got it. When I bought mine the lights were pointing down at the road just a bit in front of the car for whatever reason. 5 minutes with a socket set and I could see again!

I use to see my father do that when I was a little girl ... then one day I was out there hitting it with him because he wanted to show me how to adjust the light for him while he was in the car looking out at the headlights shining on the garage door to make sure they were straight ahh the memories ... I think it was his Road Runner car
