At least you saw a bird in these parts. I see more birds on used car lots in this area than I do around town. I actually saw my first Yellow Bird today on I-10 around Voss headed west! Quite striking with the hard top on! I was headed west to Katy in the HOV in another vehicle. It was a blur.... Poor thing was stuck in a traffic cage and had no way to escape.
My wife and I look for Birds when we are out so we can post to the 2008 T-Bird sighting thread. Ain't met one yet . Maybe we could schedule a time to head down/up 90 or even 59 so we could post we saw a bird and received a wave!

Friend of mine has a white 02, I see a black bird with black h/t on SH35 between W Columbia and Angleton several times a week. Even saw a red one in Bay City of all places several months ago. We both waved. There's a yellow one in the big city of Danbury, but haven't seen it driven, just in the driveway.

Nice to know there are members close to me. I have a red bird
and live at hwy 6 and Bissonnett. It was not me in Rosenburg
however I saw to in Sugarland coming home today, red and silver.

        we need to get together.

If you guys want to get together, we are up for it. What's the name of the town headed south on 288 where the speed trap is, Little Iowa? Did some work at the South Texas Nuclear Plant and if I remember correctly, you are in and out of the city limits in what, less than a mile? Beware of the JELLY's though!
You guys know of any weekend car spots between West Houston and West Columbia?
My wife saw it this morning, and I saw it this evening, the same yellow bird mentioned in my last post. We are sure of it. She, in the morning, headed east, I in the afternoon, headed west. We both identified the driver as a female with the bug eye sunglasses and today the soft top was up. The wall in the HOV is so high I couldn't determine if the plates were paper or not. I've been up and down the HOV for years and have never seen this bird. I've never seen a yellow bird with my own eyes prior to this week. I was beginning to think they were just a myth like Bigfoot!

              I gotta ask. What's "JELLYS"?
The place you mention is Iowa Colony. Doesn't have a police dept anymore, was done away with several years ago. Sheriff's office covers it now.

When this thread was started I was hoping to see more T-Bird owners from the Houston area jump in and introduce themselves.........

                  Re: Rosenberg, Tex. Redbird

I have seen a lot of thunderbirds in Houston, we probably have more than most cities however they are not very social. There are enough birds. that we could put on our own event.

So come up with some ideas about how we can get together.

Jerry, I like your TBN ID. I was going to use LegHound or CrazyChicken as an ID but my wife, and it's her car, told me NO! I think it would be great if we got together. I don't mind planning the event, but I'd like to see if more in the Houston area are interested.

I received a reply from Lucy who is a member of the 48in08 ride. They plan to stop in Houston on Sept. 15th for lunch, then head on to Austin. Last word from her, they are on schedule.

That's a Monday and I'm sure some of us will have to take time off. Not sure what BBQ joint they'll be dropping in on but, I'll ask and send reply to this thread. I don't know about you, and maybe you have, but I'd like to sit in a 55 - 57 bird.

Here is link to their page if you've not hit it already.

I am game for the lunch and any other get together and check out our cars.

We need to get more members together and we could invite the

Dallas, Ft.Worth, Austin, San antonio birds to meet up with us.

I went to an event at Dots house outside of Ft. Worth and had a great

                      time.

So lets get together as soon as we can.

Max, to get more interest from members in your area I would suggest starting another thread. Something like "Houston, TX Lunch - Sept 15" You don't need to wait for the details, you can post them later.
