  • FIRST POST NEED HELP MOVING a HARDTOP

I am new to this forum and was told about a hartop relay. I need a hardtop moved from Las Vegas to Austin Texas. I understand that a few from Texas are going to Desert Thunder in Oct. Can anyone help me out???
Purchased a white hardtop for my Red 2003 Bird.
    Thanks in advance

Re: FIRST POST NEED HELP MOVING a HARDTOP

Would love to be in Vegas for Desert Thunder, but I have a convention in Galveston the same time and since I have paid for this I can not justify that much of a loss to go to Vegas. If Nobody from Texas will be going or is unable to ferry top I will drive out a week or so after. Glad to be part of this forum. Have been on T BIRD Forum for years.
My other car is another T Bird 2005 Cashmere Limited Edition. Wifes car. Use both in some local parades around Austin and the heads still turn.

              Thanks

Sorry you can't make DS II, but there are plenty of folks who'll be coming home headed East, and I'm sure we can handle a Relay.
Just give us a little time to work it out.

When do you plan to be home from Galveston?

                    Welcome, Dennis!

So you're the guy who beat me out of the white hardtop in Vegas!!
                    Congrats!

The white top will look GREAT on it! I had my red top painted white, added some chrome tailights, door handles, and will soon add the chrome hood scoop and rocker panel trimand whitewall tires - all for a 55-57 bird sort-of-look. I love the white top, and I've had some very good comments about it.

Good luck on getting the top to Texas, and again, Welcome to TBN!

                      Dennis -

If you can get it to Bedford, TX...or Fort worth, TX. I can take it South and meet up with someone en-route or take it all the way to you home in Austin.

                      HAPPY TRAILS

Re: FIRST POST NEED HELP MOVING a HARDTOP

I do not know the Limited #. It is an early Bird from Jan or Feb. I will look again. Serial # is 105130 last 6. I would love to see your Shelby GT. Had a chance to purchase a Ford GT 2 years ago, but Over invoice wanted was 75,000. Not a real deal .Have seen one Shelby GT here in Austin at dealer and it was black, Too hard to keep kleen. Do you have a hardtop or Roadster?
As far as my top transfer if anyone can get it to Texas or Oklahoma or Louisiana I will run and get it.

                            No action yet

Have not heard from anyone willing to ferry a top to Texas after DESERT THUNDER.
Guess wife & I will go get it. Have a daughter in Phoenix so it will give me a chance to visit.
As far as seeing other T Birds on Road it is almost a no go any time we travel. Saw a Red like ours the other day here in Austin.

                            Thanks

Dennis, if you want to move a top, you need to keep asking. As we get closer to Desert Thunder and people firm up their plans, you might get a taker. Probably a lot of folks going on I-40 East after Desert Thunder that could probably get the top to Amarillo for you if you could meet up with them there.

                              Just a suggestion.
