As far as my top transfer if anyone can get it to Texas or Oklahoma or Louisiana I will run and get it.

Dennis - look in the glove box for your serial # on the cashmere car. who knows, there might still be the paper tag on it with the bar code - take it off if that's on it. There's a brass plaque under it with the serial #.

as for your hardtop. My husband and I were planning to drive to Vegas with our hardtop on but we could leave it off and travel home with yours - at least it's a white top and it might look good on our inca. and our traveling companion car is also picking up a hardtop in New Mexico.

        Dot,

Since you have a performance white top from the 02, I would have thought that you would have tried it on the Inca. Of course this top is whisper white and might even look better with the subdued tone of the Inca. BTW, why were you planning on going with the top on anyway?

I didn't say anything about bringing the top back from Las Vegas because I thought one of you D/FW area folks would get it that much closer than I could.

          Dennis,
I am from Ohio so I can not help with your Hard Top relay.
I also have a 05 Cashmere and a 02 Red with red/black interior and black Hard Top. Black top looks great on red car and also on Cashmere. Hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.

Likewise, if Johnny Tbird's offer somehow falls through, but it gets to the Dallas area I could get it the rest of the way to Austin.

There you go Dennis - looks like no problem getting your top to you. You might even be able to hook up with us on our return.

Paul, the performance white hardtop has been on our Inca for over a year now. My comment was tongue in cheek and I really would like to see the whisper white on the Inca for the same reason you mention. You'll see why I wanted the hardtop on when you see our Inca again.

Those of us who were here early on remember the early Ford TBird commercials that were part of the "manage the wait" series. The Bird that was part of this series' story was a red bird with a white top (attached commercial shows it with the top off...guy is lost trying to track a girl...little did he know that the girl holding the flag was the girl he was trying to find!).

One chapter of the story shows his red bird with the white top in his driveway...very classy shot.

Your hardtop is now in north Texas. Here's some photos of the top taken at Mike's and later on the trip to Texas.

#10 - the top in Fort Davis at the Davis County Court House

Dennis - I think you need to plan some excursions with your new top. You missed out on the fun of visiting LV and the trips to and from.
We do look forward to meeting you though when you come to pick up your top.

Yes, that was surprising to get to Mike's home at 6am - we had no idea just how far away it was from the hotel, just directions on where to turn and we arrived at exactly 6am with no bad turns.
