  • 2004 Pacific Coast Convertible

I have a friend who just purchased a 2004 Pacific Coast Convertible and both he and I would like to know if anyone out there knows how many models were produced of this limited edition. Also, I have a 2004 Merlot with sand interior and soft top and would like to know how many of those were produced as well. Anybody?

    Thanks,

    Ned in Prescott

Ned, the PCR is a special edition, the last picture on this link shows the placement of the numbered ID badge inside the glove box. http://www.portholeauthority.com/the...4/spec_ed.html

Your Merlot is not a special edition, nor is my Thunderbird Blue, but I found the number of my car inside the engine at the top of the left front fender, where the hood meets the fender when closed.
            (lol....I hope that made sense)

                Ned,

A former member of TBN who had access to the actual production figures provided by FoMoCo posted here on TBN on July 19, 2004, that the final number of Pacific Coast Roadsters was 992. That # may have changed, I don't know. The plaques in the car pocket may say "#???/1000". The other 8 may have gone to the twilight zone.

Sir Charles i can verify that twilight zone on the PCR cars that are missing. I have a set of front seats sealed in plastic from one of the missing ones. Picked them up from our buddy Rick at worldclasswheels. Still have not convinced myself to put them in my Elcamino. They are just to nice and should be in put in another PCR.

How much do you want for Drivers side seats Scott ??? I can't find a seat cover for the drivers side for anything. I have been looking now for over 10 months and ford want help. Its on back order... yeah right. At lease put them up for sale even if I can't afford them. someone one on here might need them.

quickdraw has verified that all 1000 were built & sold since those first figures came out, but he has no way to verify which ones were dismantled by Ford unless someone reports a dismantled vin# to him. The difference in the first production numbers available with the actual numbers built from Ford could not be verified as all dismantled or destroyed - numbers just did not add up to the differences. Even a dismantled car would get sold and recorded by Ford as a sale, such as those bought up by worldclasswheels.

Charlie, he's not a former member, just has chosen not to return - his membership is still valid here.
