HKS, I think you're right. Some friends of mine that have the Biofueled cars say they get better mileage with 87 octane gas than E-85.

I found the octane rating for E-85. It is 105 octane. That does not mean it will produce more power than 87 octane.

Octane rating does not relate to the energy content of the fuel. It is only a measure of the fuel's tendency to burn rather than explode.
