It is hard to believe that my 02 is 7 years old today. What a thrill having the only one around for months. It got a lot of attention. Then again, it still does. As recently as last week, I was approached by a woman who obviously knew something about cars from what she owned (a 280Z). She didn't know that a 2 seat Bird had been produced again (I'm not certain where she has been hiding for the last 7 years), but she really liked my car. She seemed disappointed that they were no longer produced. I can only hope that the rest of the car's life is as essentially trouble free as the first seven years. It is tight as ever, and the paint still looks like new. I get lots of positive comments on it, even from other retro Bird owners. Even the leather still smells new. I just hope I haven't spoken too soon about the trouble free aspect. My extended warranty expires today too. Hopefully I will not be dealing with a rash of COPS, transmission, and other expensive problems. I am so glad theat I found, and joined, TBN. Even though I belong to a more formal club, the comraderie and support on this site has made ownership and use of my car that much more enjoyable. I look forward to the benefit and enjoyment of my Bird, and TBN, for a long time.
