First topless ride today.

Left the office with a headache. Did a top drop in the parking garage and headed home - the long way. What a blast and the headache was gone. Not only that but there was plenty of headroom, finally. The feel of wind whistling through the scalp.....

When I got home our grandson (he's 8), that we adopted, wanted a ride. Another twenty minutes on the road.

It's the first I drove it since I got it on Monday. I have a retreat about 50 miles away Thursday and Friday and I think the geezermobile will be the ride.

This is way more fun than I thought.

I know when im having a bad day, I take the Thunderbird out for a spin. Its a great stress reliever.

John, I can totally relate. The Bird is my first convertible, and it's been 6+ years of top-down rides, love it.

Most people take the shortest route somewhere. Most Bird owners take the long way to their destination. Once top down weather gets here, the only time I put up the top is if I get caught in the rain.

The longer you have your Bird, Ski, the more you'll love it. Welcome aboard!

Soft top has only been up on mine twice, Hard top one only once. Take mine out just to forget about everything else and feel the openess the Bird offers, lifes a breeze in the Thunderbird

I generally leave the hardtops on my cars. In my opinion, that's when the car looks it best. However, I took it off on Thursday evening for Friday's events at Desert Thunder and realized I have never used the soft top even once. I either have had the hardtop on or I've had the top down with the tonneau cover in place. I had to put the softtop up on my 03 MSG T-Bird just to test it to see if it worked. It did.

Today - clean the garage to get the truck back in - 3 and a half hours.
Mow two acres of lawn - 2 and a quarter hours.
Another topless drive - priceless.

Ski, Is that picture DaNang Harbor? I was part of the Invasion in January 1965. We took over the DaNang airport for operations of Marine Fighter Squadren VMFA- 531. Slept in a tent alongside the runway for the next 7 months. Leroy
