Yes. I was at Phu Bai from April 67 to 68. In November or December we flew to Danang for a ration run (that's beer mostly). Loaded up a LCU and sailed up the coast to the Perfume River. Offloaded to deuce and a halfs and convoyed back to Phu Bai. I was at the 8th Radio Research Field Station.

Isn't it great? After having our Bird for 4+ years, we still find ourselves doing things like going out to lunch. In Arkansas.

Love that you have caught the fever! Although I have only had my T-Bird for a few months, we have had our Chrysler Sebring for 10 years and my motto has always been "you can never have a bad day in a convertible with the top down."

There were many traffic filled drives in the past 10 years and to relieve the stress I would just pull over and take the top down and the stress blew right out the roof!

        Enjoy!

          Hi John,

We have had our 2003 evening black since last December and it was our first convertible. The feeling of freedom and the relaxed driving manners of this car really help to escape for a while and forget about the sometimes mundane part of life, (work mainly).

It is this feeling that led us to pick our licence plate name, 'FLYAWAY' which to me sums it up perfectly. It is a great time of year now in North Georgia for evening top down cruisin to watch the sun go down at the same time.

          All the best, Gordon.

            Ski,

Welcome to the T-Bird life!! Yesterday on our way back from Desert Thunder we took a route through Death Valley which put us out of our way by about three hours!!! It was wonderful!! Ray is right about taking the long way around!!

Have fun with your new baby and God Bless all of you who have fought and served for our wonderful country. Thank you will never be enough for what you sacrificed. My father was in Nam 70-71 so I was a little girl without her daddy!!

Here's to many more top down days!!

When I got home our grandson (he's 8), that we adopted, wanted a ride. Another twenty minutes on the road.

It's the first I drove it since I got it on Monday. I have a retreat about 50 miles away Thursday and Friday and I think the geezermobile will be the ride.

This is way more fun than I thought.
October is the best month of the year in Charleston, SC for top down driving. Also, check your Radio out: There is a setting for Ambiance named "Top Down" that will make your CD/radio go with the flow!

                I love my Thunderbird!
