Has anyone on the list gone to the trouble of putting on a trailer hitch for long and extended trips ? I see one occasionally listed on ebay that is supposed to be designed for the retro Bird. A small trailer similar to those used behind motorcycles would not be bad. Should not pull anything over a 1000 lbs.total.

Thanks for that info Sally and Julie. That is a real neat looking package. think I would prefer that to the trunk luggage rack for a extended trip. (Now, if I could get matching wheels like the '03 etc. etc. ) the wheels are turning.

Thanks for that site address Charles on the costom trailers. Have put in a request for their product DVD. Some very kool trailers behind those sports cars. Did not see a T'Bird sample however.

I too have talked to Dave at Adventure Sports. We have been thinking about a trailer and having it painted Merlot. Have you talked to him about being able to put Thunderbird wheels on the trailer. I was going to call them when I returned from vacation.

Steve, I don't think the trailer would take the seventeen inch wheels, my car has dayton wire wheels, they make smaller wire wheels. you might want to find a wheel design that comes in 17 and smaller. When I get or do something to my bird it seems I then have to do a follow up and change something else, it never ends

Check out The 'picture' galery where I saw a trailer called the "Traveler' and owned , posted by "Mintbird" . It shows the identical wheels as on the car. Not sure whose trailer or manufacturer makes it. If you can't find it, perhaps 'mintbird' could post it again and elaborate as to who,what, and where it came from. Sure lookes neet.
