    Re: Triva Question ....

The Smart car has a removable hardtop plus soft top. Unlike the Thunderbird, the Smart hardtop panels fit in trunk (they call that a trunk????). Like the Thunderbird, the softtop has a real rear glass window that is heated by-the-way.

Exact same claw mechanism for securing the softtop.

The soft top is made from the same material as used on the Thunderbird?

The folds in the soft top show dirt?

                    BINGO!

                    Congratulations, Lonestar!

The soft tops for the Smart Car Convertible and the 02-05 Retros are/were made by Haartz and the black cloth used is trademarked under the name Landmark. The fabric is particular to only our Birds and the Smart Car convertible as of yet as original factory equipment.

I guess if I had left the question mark off the sentence it would have looked more like I actually knew the answer then taking a guess.
