My car has been at the dealer for the last two weeks having quite a few repairs done. One of the repairs was to the air conditioning system, which required dismantling the dash and it's various parts and pieces.
Tonight I drove it in the dark for the first time in months. Immediately I noticed that the light in the passenger foot area didn't come on when I opened the door. Hopefully that's an easy fix, because I know that was definitely working before I dropped the car off.
My car is a 2004. My questions are and I'm sorry if they are so stupid, but I just don't remember.
Does the gear shift area light up at night with the lights on? I can't remember, but it sure seems awful dark in that area now.
My dash where the gauges are located in the daylight is white. However tonight with the lights on, it was black with white numbers and green arms, yet when I was driving in a well lit area, I could barely see the gauges. I attempted to adjust the lights, however, the dial can't go any higher before turning on the lights in the foot area. Is this normal or could some of the lights on the dash not be working correctly.
I guess the moral of the story is drive the car more often at night, however, I really don't like driving at night and I try to stay home once I get there, especially once it gets dark outside.
Anyways, thanks for all your wonderful help as usual.
