  • 1965 T-Bird Convertible Relay Switches

Hi everyone, I'm new here & new to this car. I was just wondering if there was anyone out there that knows about this relay set & maybe has some info on how to get it set right. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

Assume you top is not working so would need the symptoms of what is happening right from the start of the top operation cycle. It may be best to send me your direct email address as this could take a while. I work on these tops quite a lot and may be able to guide you through. Also keep a fair number of spare parts which you may or may not need.

Hi Martin, my email is roadie2001@windstream.net
ok, here's what it's doing, after the trunk goes up, the flip lid doesn't flip up.
this car has the aftermarket set of relays on it that I was told that is no longer made.
any help would be greatly apperciated

Doug: That sure is a new one. The aftermarked new relays are not available any more after some people switched over to them (one thing I would never do as I like to keep it stock/orriginal) yet, the original repro's can be purchased at most T'Bird supply houses or parts venders. That is just great after those that changed over cut their harnesses etc. to accomodate the new relay set- up. Will check this out.
