I notice a neighbor of mine sever blocks away has a powder blue one that is a '03. I knocked on their door last night and chitty chatted and told her about TBN she never heard about it. She said that she bought her car in NH. I cringed when I saw her military post stickers on her bumper and a black scratch on the front passenger side. When I know her better... I'm going to try to help her realize that that is NOT ok and help her get it fixed HA!
Wow, Jen; I believe you got "hooked" on this car faster than most - You go girl!!

Hmmm...this thread makes me wonder. Curtis' Inca plates say "1 of 82". When I register the car in Texas will I get to keep the same personalized plate, or will I have to submit it for approval?

I don't know Deb... but it takes FOOOOREEEEEVER for them to get here. I don't think Texas is so harsh on getting approval... I could be wrong though. When I had personal plates in Texas it seems like it took about a month and they didn't was explaination of what they ment. Here in Cali you have to EXPLAIN what the numbers, words, initials stand for. Thats why I ruled out one of my choices. Try to explain Juju to some of the Cali people. They would probably think it was something you roll up and smoke. HA!

Debbie, You'll have to get new Texas plates. You can check the Texas DOT website to see if that set of letters is available to you in Texas - and yes, it would have to be approved.

ps - I just sent you a private message.

                For ideas, here's ours

Took about a month to get OK here

What's wrong with military stickers on a T Bird? I'm proud to have them.

                    Probably not for Peggy.
Nebraska offers Military plates. This one is on the 2015 Escape.
The Tbird has the 007 plate. I might change it next year, to CVA-14 (C=Carrier, V=aircraft, A=Attack, Hull number 14).

                    VA195 (V=Aircraft, A=Attack Squadron 195).

VA195 is now VFA195 stationed in Japan. No more separate Attack and Fighter aircraft.

Remember the original post was some eight years ago. Back then, most military posts and bases required stickers on the bumpers or windshields of cars, to get through the gates without being stopped. Nowadays for heightened security reasons, at most locations everyone is stopped and asked for proper ID.
Also, the original criticism may have been aimed at the unattended-to scratched side.
