Well guy, Bill still hasn't found his ring. He did try and do the things you told him too, but to no find. We have only been married for three years and he really feels bad, so come spring hopefully it will still be there. I have given him grief everyday so today he went to the jewelers and found out how much it will cost him this time, since I paid for it the first time. Brenda

Since I have taken the moulding off of the entire car from the seats back to install new speakers, subwoofers and insulate the entire area behind the seats and the trunk, I know that it will be no fun to open up the back.
The easiest way I can think of is to lower the top and start on the side where the ring fell and begin to remove the black cover of the top well. It is held on with plastic push pins and you can use a small plastic prybar to remove them.

Stick the prybar just under the plastic moulding and pry down between the cloth and the metal backing that forms the back of the seat well. Don't worry, even if you break them they are easily replaceable. You have to wiggle them from side to side to get them out.

see if you can get your ford dealer to feel bad about it... they have the manuals and could take it apart in a jiffy
