Dont know who the first winner is...? seller must be hiding winners too? or someone took on a new name?

well, i figured it out, if you bid on it, you may see the winning bidders name at the end - in YOUR list of what you have won and not won. Seems to be a new thing for ebay. This may or may not make it difficult for me to find new items coming out! Only time will tell unless others of you have been paying attention.

oh yes, it seems the winning bidder of auction #1 is not telling on here and we know him.

Just did a little more research on this new ebay development. Unless you have bid on an auction, there's not much chance of you finding out someone's ebay handle unless they tell you or they won that auction. For most of you that doesn't matter but for me, it makes it more difficult to track when a new item is out unless I do more searching on ebay. Of course, with the manu. cutting back on diecasts and the Thunderbird in particular, that makes it even more difficult to find what's new on the market. Lately, I've had to depend on the stores for making finds again - or a diecast forum I'm on.

email the seller, and ask him to do one for you. With the Store I run, I get a lot of emails form prospective bidder's asking if I have specific items. If I do, I them put up a private sale for them. It's handled like second chance offering's, even though similar ones are still listed. Give it a try.

I purchased some of these and other vintages of Birds, from the maker in Carlisle last month. I may still have a retro version available. I know I have some 61-66 versions available. I'll check and advise.

Mine arrived today. - Isn't that quick?! car itself is about 9" long, base is about 9 3/4". and it did come from PA. Looks as good as the picture in the auction.

There are several companies locally that do plasma/laser steel cutting. So it might very well be a local supplier. But I think that it is Myerstown PA ... at least www.map.google.com says so .. :)
