Don't know about the company that you reference above, but I would stick with Ford product if you can get it. There are many threads on here about warranty, just do a search above for info. I suspect that there are parts available but the insuance companies figure cost to repair against payoff for total loss value... and to them our Birds are "just another automobile". Today, the labor cost far outweigh parts cost I suspect.

I agree i would stick with Ford warranty. The following is a email I got earlier this week and with the $180 discount it came up to approx $1780. That was for 3yr/36k, $50 deductible with premium care coverage.

      Genuine Ford ESP Coverage‏

Jennifer, thank you for your interest in genuine Ford ESP.

Ford ESP is the only extended warranty backed by Ford Motor Company and honored by Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealers nationwide.

We are the largest online provider of genuine Ford ESP in the nation. It's not just because of our pricing, it's also because of our product knowledge and commitment to excellence in customer service.

Now is your chance to take an additional $180 off our regular discounted price.
This offer is only valid through November 21.

To take advantage of this offer, save this promotional code: 75176
You will be prompted for it when you fill out the online application. Note promotional discount does not apply to Diesel Engine Care coverages or ESP Maintenance plans.
If you have questions about the purchase of a Ford ESP plan, email support@fordwarrantys.com for assistance or call Jack Guisti, Jr. at 866-379-7095.

Frank -- Be VERY carful of any aftermarket warranty companies. The majority of them write policies that aren't worth the paper they are written on. Stick with the Ford extended warranty plan if you can.

I would normally agree with sticking with the Ford Warranty if possible, but Texasbird was purchased from a dealership that specializes in new high end European makes. We've laughed that having the T-bird on their lot was probably a disgrace and why the price was as reasonable as it was. We purchased the extended warranty they offered thru "Total Protection Plan" and have been pleased with their assistance so far with COP problems, etc.

If you choose to buy an aftermarket warranty, I hope it serves you as well as ours has.

Stick with Ford warr. Aftermarket companies go belly up regularly.

If Frank's car is out of the original Ford warranty, isn't he forced to go with an aftermarket company? As for the aftermarket company going belly-up, how stable is Ford? Think about that.
