  • E bay listing

This listing on EBayis well written and touts the '05 very well. Perhaps a bit of a stretch to get 0-60 in six and half seconds and calling the hardtop easily removable but seems like a nice ride. $32,000 is out of sight but everyone has to start somewhere.

    Bronzebird

A modern take on the classic American roadster, the 2005 Thunderbird celebrates 50 years of staying-power with a distinctive "50th Anniversary" edition model. To honor the past 50 years of Thunderbird passion, all 2005 models will display the "50th Anniversary" fender badges. A 3.9L DOHC 32-valve aluminum V8 engine powers this model and allows it to reach 0-60 mph in a mere 6.5 seconds. Thunderbird also features standard rear-wheel drive, 4-wheel independent suspension, 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes, All-Speed Traction Control, and SelectShift transmission for maximum performance (an included option). Also included in this dream car are the optional 17" Micro-Machined-Aluminum Wheels. The easily removable hardtop comes with its own storage stand for convenience and the high quality convertible top comes with a yet to be used boot. The exterior color of this car is Torch Red and the leather interior is a stunning red and black. This Thunderbird is like brand new and has only 1003 miles, has been maintained by the original dealer, and stored under a car cover in an indoor climate controlled garage. The features of this car are quite extensive and a detailed specification sheet has been included along with the pictures.
If you have any question please feel free to email or call (650-759-3545). The car is located in Chicago Il and can be inspected either personally or by a third party inspection anytime during the auction period.

That's a nice low mileage retro Bird, but as you say, $32k is a stretch. $22-25k might be more like it. EBay bidding will definitely tell the final story.

If this car is owned buy a Ford dealer and has never been titled. The warranty doesn't start till it's sold. That is probably why they want 32K. Leroy

So, not Brand new therfore warranty has started.

Also, warranty starts on "IN-SERVICE DATE" not date titled. If the car is on the lot with any miles the warrenty clock has started with the date the car was first used as demo or or other use not when it is sold or titled.

It's a 4 year old car whether it's been "sold" or not, but the market will determine its value. It will be interesting to see what EBay bidders are willing to pay for it. Does anyone have the listing number so we can follow the auction?

I wonder where it was parked all this while. The engine compartment is pretty dirty.

Hey all! Checked out that car on e-bay, and was suprised to see that it fits the description of the one in the quest for an 05 which I posted earlier, and it is near my neck of the woods. For 22 to 25K that one would easily be in my garage (if it has select shift).

Hi all! Have been following this sale, and found out that the owner does not have the window sticker. Is it possible to yet get one from Ford? And is lack of a window sticker cause for caution on a potential sale?

This is a relist. It failed to reach 20k first time around.

                        Re: E bay listing

I think the no warranty statement, means the seller isn't warrantying it. Still Has FORD, if it wasn't a wreck or something like that.

If you can get the VIN# out of him, then the selling dealer CAN get a window sticker for you (Their name is on the front tag holder). Or the hard way, thru FORD Customer Service.

And, yes this is the second time arround for this car. He would'nt take $20K, but he must be thinking about lowering his reserve to something more feasable. Or else he really doesn't want to sell it.
