MPG tracking web sites

Has anybody used the web sites that let you track your fuel economy? I looked at fuelly.com, and it seems pretty good. I especially liked the data on actual owners' mileage on all the car models. But I haven't signed up for an account; I fear getting a blast of junk email if I do. Right now, I have my own spreadsheet to track my MPG and maintenance. But the web might be more useful.

Then why use the web site? I can't help but agree you will be setting yourself up for additional possibly unwanted emails.
