Nancy Gioia, Again....

After posting the Automotive News article about Nancy Gioia from 2005 early in the week, I started reading this week's issue (dated December 29, 2008). Well, lo and behold, there she is again. This time in a very elite group of rising execs in the auto industry. She is ranked as one of the top 10 people to watch. Looks like there could be even bigger things ahead for this lady. I just hope they are at Ford...

I see she is in charge of the hybrid Fusion and companion Mercury car developments. There was an article in our paper today about the Fusion hybrid. Sounds interesting -- but will go for about $27K.

An 81 year old up and commer, there is hope for some of you guys!

Nancy Gioia, she let the Retro T-Bird project die with no upper management support!

I guess she was promoted for letting it die! Looks like the auto business knew how the make itself die, put $$ into a project them let it fend of itself while moving on to better things. No wonder the industry is where it is.

Anyone buy a new Camero or Challenger? These will be collectors as Chrysler and GM will be out of business soon!
