  • Re: 2009 T-Bird sightings

Today was a good day for T birds in the Eugene area. Saw a PCR heading south on I5 with soft top, also a Cashmere in Pleasant Hill and an EB in Springfield....of course I was in the "Beast" and those "Beauties" would never respond back to a pickup truck.

On another note in Cottage Grove is a model A car show for 1928's to 1931's. Gosh there are some beautiful cars present and some really nice people...I just wandered and "drooled".

Well he got my dander up and while I should have bit my tongue, I said well "I disagree - the value of both are going down." But did add - the value is how much it means to you. I should have saved my breath as he snipped back at me and said "Well my car is worth in the high $30's - yours isn't."

I just smiled and thought - yeah bud - yours isn't either. What an absolute JERK. Who would cut someone that just complimented your car. Hope he has fun with his "investment" while I have fun with the Tbird experience.
      Vickie,
With comments like that you can hope he ends up on Joe's "Broken Wings" thread.
Then we will see where the value is.

On his way home today on Va Beach Blvd, Charley saw a top-down WW having way too much fun, fun, fun - 'cause he had a surfboard sticking up on the passenger side! He said the guy was grinning ear-to-ear!

Not a tbird sighting but a TBN member sighting. dcrichards and his wife stopped by this afternoon on their way to Colorado. We had a nice chat and we showed them around the place. They lucked out as he got to see the new garage door which had just been finished about an hour earlier.

I am in Ft Wayne IN
for granddaughter's basketball Turny [4 wins last 2 days].

Saw an imaculate '02 torch red today in a parking lot
by my motel "LaQuinta" on Dupont Blvd.

I think the owner may have been in one
of several resturants around the motel.

                Tag is "2K2TBIRD"
Not even a spec of dirt in the wheelwells.
                No TBN Badge.

" My other car is a classic Thunderbird"

Left a card on driver's door.

This guy thought he was something special because his car is [supposedly] worth in the "high 30's"? Depending on what SUV you were driving, you could've pointed out that your SUV is worth more than "high 30's." Not to mention about a million other cars out there. What a putz.

I put hardly any miles on my car, but it's not for resale value. For sentimental reasons, I don't plan on ever selling it. I just get a lot of enjoyment from knowing it's a "pristine machine" and driving it occasionally when the mood strikes me. If this guy was concerned about "investment," he should (1) not be out driving around putting miles on the car; and (2) buy some freakin' real estate.

I saw a white T-Bird at Ft. Jackson SC yesterday while visiting the Post Exchange. Suspect it was a parent in town, from Ohio, to visit their child in a basic Training class graduation. left a card on the windshield.

On the way home from work yesterday about 4:30...a P/S with black soft top parked in a private driveway on Rt 229... FL tags. Anyone visiting this part of the world? If so, you're only about 2 miles from us.

Well this was a weekend for Tbirds in Omaha.

On Friday - I met up with three very special Birds. '02 Blue (Dennis & Judy), '02 W White (Jim & Kay), and an '04 TR (Jim & Pat). What a fantastic weekend the four thunderbirds had in town. We ate out -became regulars at the Farmhouse Cafe, and spent a day shopping at Nebraska Furniture Mart. While we were caravanning through the parking lot, we were joined by a MSG. It didn't appear that he thought it was a special event to drop into line with four other birds.

What a great weekend spent with fabulous friends, we had such a good time catching up. These three couples are the best!

Later today I saw a IY on 144th North of Maple.

And this is Alan, standing in front of the DSB bird, taking photo #1 in the previous post... where you see me standing behind the DSB bird, taking this photo of him taking a photo of me taking a photo... Lots of other cool cars there too, including a few baby birds. Fun time!

                                Cheers,
