8/20 Virginia Beach about 7:00 p.m. I spotted a black beauty, as I exited the Pembrooke mall. I wasn't quite close enough to make contact.

Leesburg, Florida: Me driving straight through the intersection, he turning left in oncoming traffic, a Merlot beauty. Couldn't catch up, but hopefully he's a TBN member.

That might be my cousin's husband! She & her husband live in Leesburg, and have a Merlot Bird! They do not belong to TBN (much as I try).

Please contact your cousin in Leesburg. I want to invite them to our Florida Thunderbird Cruise/Poker Run in November. They are very close to the starting point. We would very much like to have that Merlot Bird in our caravan. We are hoping to have 30 Birds on this cruise in November.

Lots of information is on the "Upcoming Events" thread. I need their e-mail to send them a registration form.

Maybe the Florida Thunderbird Cruise/Poker Run in November could all gather at your cousin's house--THAT could convince them to join with a large flock of 'Birds in their front yard.

Sunday on the way to National Harbor, came up side by side with a Merlot/Sand top up, exchanged waves and grins. MD tag AHA, belong to anyone here? On the way back northbound Indian Head Highway, MSG top down didn't get the tag, excahnged waves.

What a week last week was for sightings. Monday saw a IY on fir street in Mt Vernon WA, then later in the week a EB on Division, then a PS on Fir, on Saturday a WW in Clear Lake WA and as we were going to dinner a Merlot leaving the Pub as we were going in.

WEnt on a Bug Tussle Tour this past weekend.
Spotted a blue 02 with Oklahoma plates in Honey Grove TX as we were leaving. Waved from our 57 - they seemed to enjoy the view of the old cars parading by them.




Later that night, we spotted our 'bird in Paris at the Eiffel Tower - What is that "thing" at the top of the tower?

On Mon., 8/31,:

Spotted an '03 desert Sky Blue with black soft top parked in shopping center lot just east of Granbury Lake bridge on north side of U.S. Hwy 377.

Spotted '03 Mountain Shadow Grey w/black soft top on used car lot - it's been there for several months - in Lampasas. Price on window $16,500.

Spotted '03 or '04 Black w/black soft top parked at Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. We went in but it was too crowded to locate owner - the pie was excellent though.

I was out at Hilltop this afternoon when Charley called me on my cell to tell me he just saw a Cashmere w/ no front license plate, like Moondoggie...um...Sweetie, it was me! He knows if I'm out there, it only means $$$$$$...

AND...while I was out there, a red Mustang convertible pulled in front of me, but I'm thinking I had a Frits sighting...

This has certainly been an interesting year so far. I've seen more birds around than any other year. Saw a Bond car on 295 around 2:15 today.

While on a scheduled tour that included Sally and Saffron in our classics and retros, we were having lunch at Yesterday's in Bridgeport, TX. A black 02 came in, didn't stay long, and I didn't get a chance to meet owner but did get a photo:
