... As a sidebar to this topic....driving down a main road yesterday...with the top down...when this gal pulls alongside in her yellow NewBeatle conv. with her top down....Gave me a huge wave...which I returned....just thought it was a nice touch!
I don't know if I saw another TBN member or not but I was driving home on Ashley River Rd. this morning and a Torch Red w/hardtop on was headed into town at 10:30 this morning. I sure like to see other Tbirds!

On Friday I saw a Torch Red with no hardtop driving west on I10 just outside of Lake Charles while I was driving east. I don't think he saw me but I tried to wave. Last night at Isle of Capri Casino in Lake Charles I saw a Torch Red with a hard top parked just outside of the casino. Had a tan leather interior. Today at Pat's of Henderson in Lake Charles a Torch Red with no hardtop and two-tone black and red interior was parked across from me, I spotted it while I was walking back to my car from eating lunch.
A good weekend for Torch Reds! Even though the weather was awful... All of these TBirds (Including mine) were pretty dirty from the rain and road grime.
Saw a black Tbird in Yellowstone Park on about Sep 11 or 12. W hardtop.

Went to our monthly AACA meeting today in Weatherford. Had started out in the 57 but switched to the 05 as the 57 was making some noise that George didn't like. Meanwhile, Sally was coming in from the East and had also decided that her 57 wasn't ready for the road so drove her 02. She had also contacted wtxbird who lives near Weatherford and told him we were coming to the area so they made plans to meet at our AACA meeting. So we ended up with 3 retros at the Antique Automobile Club of America TX region meeting in Weatherford. Had plenty of time to chit chat then finally left for home and we decided to take a different route and visit a friend but no answer on his phone. However while driving up the highway thru Azle, saw his 03 DSB headed the other direction so we turned around and followed them into a close by car wash (his destination). Helped him wash his car then went up to his place. I finally got the photos of hs 2 early 'birds which he's had since new. The 55 is not in the greatest of shape but he's working on it.
Scott and I met at the Love's service station prior to the meeting...His Black Beauty and my Red Racer (CARTOY) were basically side-by-side, and we got several rave reviews!!
Coming home from our Daughters home last night we pulled along side of a 2005 Bronze. He had his window open so my wife rolled down her's and gave him the thumbs up and also a verbal "Nice Car". He smiled and waved back. (We were drving the wife's 08 Milan) This is the first Bronze I have seen in Minnesota. This was just east of Buffalo, MN around 9:30P.M. Also saw a black with Hardtop on (in Golden Valley around noon) but they made a left turn before I could get close enough to wave.
Went to a car show and only saw for square Birds. But on the way home we did a little cruse to look at a Motor Cycle run of around 10,000 or so bikes called the Oyster Run. Spotted a DSB when we left La Conner got big waves and smiles.
I was gassing up Goldi for CC Thunder this afternoon, and met up w/ a DSB and TR. Talked to the guy with the DSB, gave him a card, and hope he'll join us. He said he used to sell Birds, and just sold his IY. TR owner not around...left a card anyway.
