You seem to be right about that Elle, several of the photos look like the color is coral sand but the two "shade" pictures show it as "pink". oh, well, we're still on the lookout for that coral sand tbird then.

ps - I've got to start looking at details again - I appear to be "losing" it.

Although I live in a VEERRY small town (population in the 100s), there are a number of Tbirds here. I regularly see an inspiration yellow bird, have spotted another torch red, talked with a gentleman driving a PCR, and today I spotted a merlot bird in front of the local cafe.

One of my favorite sights at the Choo-Choo event was Martin's 007, as this was the first one to I've seen up close and "live". Pictures do not do the color justice. Coral is now my favorite color, in addition to TR, VMG, Merlot, ........................

Oh, dear. That paint job is just...wrong somehow. And this is coming from someone who likes pink and fairytales. I don't know many six year-old girls who drive, but I can't imagine anyone else who would be caught dead in such a car.

It's not so much the pink as those terrible, childish graphics. That phrase "birthday" makes me wonder if some misguided hubby gifted it to his wife...which is more frightening I wonder, a man who would dream up such a paint scheme, or a woman who would ask for it?

Found out a little more info about the pink Bird. It was a birthday gift to a teenager of an affluent family living in the Croatan area of Va Beach a couple years ago. I believe she has the IQ of a snail from what I've heard, and will probably live off Mommy & Daddy the rest of her life. I'm just repeating what I was told, but now that I know who the family is, I'm not surprised. She was also one of those children whose parents pushed her into those awful child-beauty queen contests when she was little, and throws tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants. I'd tell you more, but it wouldn't be p.c.

Well, to paraphrase an older song, if some people didn't have bad taste, they'd have no taste at all.

Hey, you'd better be careful, I just got b-slapped by a mod for making "prohibited political comments" on the forum. (Just because I agreed with another member about certain annoying words/ads). I didn't even see it coming, so maybe you'd better duck! (Hmm, I think there's another T-bird forum out there...maybe they won't find me so offensive! )

On Wednesday, October 21st I was travelling on I-90 just when I passed a Red (not sure what year) RetroBird travelling around Rochester NY heading towards Buffalo at about 4:10 p.m. with Tennessee Plate "NEWBIRD". I was driving my Ford Edge and could not make eye contact with the driver.

Maybe it's a 007 that is faded from too much bright sun light. [smilie=2,4,36]

So Snowbird make sure you keep your car out of the sunlight otherwise who knows what kind of attention you will attract.

One thing with a Black car it can only fade to grey!

'02 TB Blue was sighted this morning, and like my Moondoggie, it's sneaking around town with only the rear Va plate. Glad I'm not alone! Gave the guy a , and he nodded & laughed.

Last night on the NBC news @ 6 there was a red Bird soft top up passing by the bay area bridge which was closed due to a large chuck of metal falling and a snaped cable.

                        I guess that's considered a sighting

Hello fellow Retro Bird ethusiasts.............I just found your club site today and just had to register. My wife Kathleen and I are transplanted Bostonians now living in Tarpon Springs, FL (Tampa bay area). We'd love to meet some fellow Retro T-Birds owners in our area for breakfast or luncheon cruises. Please contact us if interrrested. Also I don't know if there are any local club chapters that we could invesigate. We have a 2004 Merlot with tan top and tan leather interior........real sweet!

Welcome Tom.....Too bad you didn't hook up with us when you were in Boston, unless you've been down there longer than 7 years. Pretty active group here in NE

Hi Tom - you just missed today's Poker Run in FL!

FYI - your top and interior are the "sand" appearance package.

Today was a day for "morphed" sightings for me...a Cashmere with a BLACK (!) soft-top, and a MSG with a merlot (!) soft-top - obviously after-market changes. Also saw an EB with sand soft-top, NC tags.
