Quite something to see three in one day. How did the Cashmere with Black top look?

Odd, Frits, very odd, but then I'm partial to my stone top.

Yesterday afternoon, out at Hilltop, saw a triple Black being driven by a Ford mechanic. He was grinning ear to ear, so - 1. he was really enjoying the car or 2. whatever was wrong, was fixed!

This morning...a WW with black soft-top up, generic plates.
Goldi & MD are on lock-down now. Bad 3-day nor'ester moving in later today.

Elle, maybe both - the mechanic was enjoying the car and the problem was fixed!

Yesterday afternoon, Sally called me to tell me she had spotted a red tbird on Fox News during a broadcast news item done at Fort Hood.
They repeated the same newscast segment an hour later so I saw it too. red 02-05 with white hardtop going around a corner - the camera stayed focused on it while it went around the corner so it was on for several seconds.

Besides all the Florida Birds I saw at Tom's Florida event, I saw an Inspiration Yellow, a PCR and a Torch Red, but the highlight was spotting a 57 Pink Thunderbird.

I walk my dog around the neighborhood twice a day, and there is a Retrobird that lives right around the corner from me. It's actually the car that got me interested in the Retrobirds. It was the first one I ever saw.

Anyways, judging from the color, it's a 2002 Thunderbird Blue. The car lives on Nutwood Street in Las Vegas. The car is usually gone on the weekends and there during the week.

Is this person on the forums?

Ok, so I'm driving north on I-95 just before Baltimore when I notice a merlot T-Bird in my rear view mirror. So I slow down a bit and let the guy catch up to me and I'm hoping he's friendly enough to at least give one another a thumbs up sign. He gets right up to me and his wife rolls down the window and we basically exchange greetings (as much as you can when you're doing 75mph on a crowded interstate). So I let him get in front of me and we caravan for a few miles. Now I notice that he has a continental kit and a luggage rack! He definately belongs to TBN, right? License plate MegsMMM. So we pull over into the first rest area and lo and behold, I have run into the famous Ol Dave and his wife Claire (I hope I got that right) from Florida. What a great surprise. We had a long chat and realized we both have lots of New England friends in common. It was great to see you both.

Good sighting! Jerry. As soon as you wrote the license plate, I knew who it was.

...And now form our perspective: Driving north, 1000 miles in our rearview mirror, with another 500 to go, finally for this first time. familiar looking tail lights way up ahead. Sooooo, naturally I speedup. Got this darn SUV i9n front of me, wont move, cant see he tail lights anymore. GRRRR. Claire looks hard to thright, and says "They're slowing down". We all know we can pick out our loghts front and back when taveling. Hey it's what we do. Dusk, Fog, Light misting weather. Still identifiable. I Pull a manuver, Claiew yells at me, but mission complere, the SUV, nolonger a factor!! As I kinda quickly gain on I spy BLUBIRD, then see the Wave (RI Tag). we swerved over and block the center lane and pulleven (75-80). He's doing same on inaide lane. We all have shiit eating grins, Claire and other driver, rolldown windws at the sametime, and we all are admiring each ohers cars, wavw and I contiue on. Low and behold, he follows in behind me, stay close, A Thunderbird Caravan had evolved. Sooooooo, what the heck, we got a rest area up ahead, so we'll see if he game to followus in. He did, the rest is history. We all "Offically greeted each other, and then, nearlysimutaniously, asked if we have acomputer. He says, "I Know that Tag"MMM". Ad for the firsttime amet a new friend from my Ne w England Chapter Crew, who will always be myT-Bird family. Sooooo, cAN YOU imagine such a great happening. Middle of no where, meeting another TBN member, whois also part of each others local groups, and meeting for the first time. Needless to say, we chatted for a while.
any way. that's my view. And thank you for bringing a happy moment to our trip North.

Great story Dave and Jerry. I'm surprised we don't hear more of these happening.

Saw my buddy "TAFCO" in his DSB this afternoon while I was at the P.O. mailing Frits' lens cap back to him (long story). Found out why he's never joined TBN...besides the Bird, and the company that he owns, he has a Harley that takes up a lot of time...and two teenaged daughters! I told him he had my sympathy. His DSB is a daily driver, and looks great. Hasn't put the hardtop back on yet, but it's still fairly warm here.

I decided to drive the bird to work today and noticed a retro bird in traffic ahead of me. I managed to work my way through traffic and get closer. The lady driving took the same exit I was going to take and we wound up side by side at the traffic light on the service road. I lowered my window and the lady driver did the same. We chatted about our birds while waiting for the light to change. Now here's the kicker...........Both are 2002 Inspiration Yellow equipped with exactly the same options, and according to information I have there are only 1900 or so equipped like ours. What are the odds of that happening again? Actually very good because I found out she works not too far from where I do. What a way to start the day!!
