    Re: 2009 T-Bird sightings

This morning while driving to work, I saw a black retrobird with black softtop inching ahead in the traffic. Couldn't quite catch up to the Bird due to the traffic jam. Ottawa is in Day 49 of a city bus strike so the streets are clogged with an "assortment" of drivers, but I am astounded that within the last 9 days, I have seen two TBirds on the streets of Ottawa. I always liked the blackbirds, even with salt stains it was still the best looking vehicle on the street. And the electric defogger in the softtop did its job well !!!

Monday morning saw three Birds for sale in the Suzuki dealership on Rt. 72 in Manahawkin all parked in a row on the lot. A black, a white and a T-bird blue. All with hardtop if anyone interested.
      WHATS THE WORD? THUNDERBIRD !!!

Well, for the love of Cashmere! Charley met with one of his sub-contractors this afternoon, and they rode together in the Shelby to the job site. Of course they started talking about cars, and the guy says, "I drive an '05 T-Bird". Charley asked what color and he says, "Cashmere"! Charley forgot to ask what number, but he told him about my Moondoggie and Goldilocks and gave him a card. His name is James Williamson and he has a concrete company by the name of Sherry. I hope to find out more tomorrow, get his email addy, and get him into our Tidewater group.

We have about 25 members in our Tidewater group now, and SIX are Cashmeres!!!!!

        Now...WHO RULES?????

Was taking my wife out to lunch for the 5th anniversary of her 39th birthday at Macaroni Grill here in Huntsville and saw a beautiful 2005 Platinum Silver bird in the parking lot as well. Didn't get to see or talk to the driver.

Saw 6 'birds last night as I expected but the unexpected was to see a black on the way in that looked to be a commuter car. The roads have been icy this past week and were all sanded so this one was DIRTY. Then turned off the freeway and followed an 04 silver almost all the way to the museum til they turned off - that one was nice and clean. I got a picture - might put it in the slide show on the TX forum thread.

Just saw a Merlot/sand pulling out of Dale's Train Shop. That seems to be a very popular place for T-Bird sighting!!!

Here's one for you. I just got back from Grand Cayman, BWI where I saw a black with black hard top. Was not able to determine the year.

Saw our first Cashmere here in Madison today. It was parked at the drug store. No handout cards with us. Gotta jack Margaret up to make some here at the house. Economy won't let us spend the money to buy some.

Today at 3:30 we were heading south on 281 just south of Blanco, TX in the PCR and saw a red T-Bird heading north. Black soft top that was up.

                        Hi there,

A blue just on the outskirts of Cleveland TN with the top down. Hope they had their heated seats on, the sun was just starting to go down. It was probably about 50 degrees.

Saw a red bird with the soft top up today driving down South Street in Morristown NJ. Last week I saw an 02 blue parked on Speedwell Avenue also in Morristown.

<Baby has been in the garage for over a week - too much salt and snow.

Charley & I saw a Cashmere this afternoon about 1:00 pulling out of Janaf s.s. as we were pulling in. We were in the Expedtion, so didn't pursue. For only 1500 of them, there sure are a lot here in the area - 6 registered in our Tidewater chapter!

It's cool because all the same ones that I see driving to and from work and around town are always the same people! You can't get that with any other car! Just wish they were a bit more friendly They don't seem to have the same passion about their car as I do! It's too bad!
