  • 2009 T-Bird sightings

A whole new year to track Bird sightings - and first thing this morning when I opened the front door to retrieve the newspaper, there was an EB passing through the neighborhood at the entrance to our cul-de-sac! I have no idea who it might have been, as no other Birds live in our section!

Well everyone knows GOD drives a Silver Thunderbird. Soooo, it was probably Father-Time driving arround aimlessly looking for that extra second from 2008.

Coming home from EldoradoBird's & NancyM's party last night we saw a Merlot with a sand soft top on Holland Rd, VB. Too dark to wave and we were in the Shelby anyway.

Well, I got up this morning and went to the garage and SURPISE!! I saw my new 2004 Platinum Silver Bird in there in all it's glory! I'm so jazzed about getting it I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! (Does this qualify as a "Sighting"? One dopey question .......How do I get the icons to work? (Neanderthall <----)

John, Instead of using the quick reply field at the bottom of this page, use the "post reply" button at the left side below the last message. That'll give you another page, with advanced field to write in .... and emoticans on the right side of that.

            Re: 2009 T-Bird sightings

On January 2nd , 2009 my wife and I with some friends ate supper at a Mexican restaurant in about the 200 block North Cottner Blvd, Lincoln Nebrsaka. I saw a 04 Merlot with sand interior and merlot hard top, it has wheels just like mine. See my photo gallery.
I spoke with the other O4 Bird owners they are some great people and I have emailed him the web sites of http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/ and http://www.portholeauthority.com/ to him so he can join and get information about his Bird

The Thunderbird capital of the world is in Florida. I see a number of them all over.

Yesterday in Valencia, CA I saw a 2002 in T-Bird Blue with the vanity plate Air Bair. Anyone here own this car?

I see my neighbor's '04 Platinum just about every week and remind him as often as possible to check out TBN.

Yesterday we had two severe storms go through the area - one around 11:00 am and the other at about 6:30 pm. There was a lot of damage from the high winds (45-60 mph) with a lot of trees down, roofs blown off, that sort of thing, particularly in the Newport News area. Nothing happened in our neighborhood, but on WAVY TV-10 they showed a Whisper White Bird with a tree across it. I only caught a glimpse of it - maybe they'll show it again this evening.

Intersection of Va Beach Blvd and Independence - well cared-for '02 Blue! I honked & waved ( I was in Moondoggie), but the driver was oblivious as she yakked on her cell phone and smoked a cigarette.

I agree with Ken. I see T-birds running all over the place on a daily basis. What I do find sad is that many are not well cared for. Many with dirty/stained tops and bumps/bruises.

Happy New Year everyone. Yesterday (1/8) I saw an 02 blue on 287 headed north near Morristown, NJ. It was a miserable day and the car wasn't very shiny, but I was jealous as I was headed to work in the Hemi Charger, which was covered in salt.

Today was a clear, dry, sunny, cold day and I took Little Red to work - more smiles to the mile. I think it will be a while before she comes out - snowstorm due tomorrow.

                            Drive safe everyone.

TO2 BIRD (Ken) remember down here in S.Fl. many of the Bird's we see are daily drivers. With rain , dampness and sprinklers spraying the swamp water on our Birds it's hard to keep clean.I don't have a garage but I do cover it every night and just gave the top a bleach job on wed.
