Behind the drivers seat is a keyhole for opening the trunk manually.

      Re: help ????

Kathy, you will be bombarded with a whole bunch of responses on your problem.

Lean your driver's seat forward. You will see a keyhole in the back shelf wall. Insert key, twist, trunk will open.

Forget about the hood. Your battery is in the trunk. Take the cover off of the area where the spare tire is stored and you will see the battery. Now you can jump start your Bird or replace the battery.

If you replace the battery, you had better ask more questions here on TBN, the # 1 retro Thunderbird site.

          Regarding the interior key lock...

Just after purchasing Texasbird, I tested the interior key lock behind the seat and the trunk wouldn't open. On her first trip to the local Ford Dealer, I asked them to check it out. They said the was never connected to the latch. If you've never used yours, I would suggest using it on occasion to make sure it operates properly.
