    Re: 10th anniversary!

And it doesn't seem that long ago to me either..........BTW, I just went to my file and pulled out my August 2001 pictures of the "2002 Ford Mystery Drive". For those of you here that don't know what that was all about, there TBirds that were one of each color that toured around the US to show them off and to give those of us who were invited a chance to drive them.
Dot, do you know what ever happend to those cars?

Have no idea, George. I think I've got 5 of the 10 vin #s but whether they were scrapped or not, is unknown.

I do remember the hard/soft boot covers on one of them though (the one we got to drive). The material was unlike the fabric they ended up using on the production 02s. Think it had a rough, nubby texture.

All I remember was when I saw it in the Wall Street Journal and FoMoCo had returned the car to its roots as a two seater

I HAD TO HAVE IT ...

I subscribe to google's news - thunderbird - so get sent news articles that contain the word Thunderbird. Imagine my surprise today when Google pulled up an old 1999 article that I don't recall reading. Another perspective on the 1999 Detroit auto show:
