Re: Open door warning light
Happened to me once, was actually the trunk. Same light for all. I had accidently hit the key fob button for the trunk and it was not visibly open, but had been released.sigpicBradford + TOTM April 2009 05 Thunderbird Cashmere #702 /1500 , ' 04 Acura TL, '79 Buick Electra Limited, Landau Coupe, '67 Mustang Convertible

Re: Open door warning light
Glad that's all it was. My trunk sticks some at the weatherstipping, so when it's released, it doesn't really pop up without help.sigpicBradford + TOTM April 2009 05 Thunderbird Cashmere #702 /1500 , ' 04 Acura TL, '79 Buick Electra Limited, Landau Coupe, '67 Mustang Convertible

Re: Open door warning light
Brad since you have the answers today. when I drive the bird 25- 30 miles and it gets good and warm I get a loud whistle out of one of the real wheels
Don;t think it is a wheel bearing because when I just tap the brakes it stops
let off the brake and it starts again. I went to the dealer and it would not do it. said bring it back when it does it so they can hear themselvesany thoughts anyone... Buddy

Re: Open door warning light
Sounds like the warning to identify the need for new brakes. Usualy need to replace the brakes on the front before the back. However there have been many instances with our T'Birds to replace the back first. Not sure how many miles or if you have replaced any of your pads before. The warnings typically squeal at a high pitch and stop squealing when the brake is applied. It is usally a continious squeal unless your just now getting to the warning level. If thats the case, could explain wht it starts after 25 -30 miles, long enough for the brake parts to warm up and expand, cool quickly and no repeat sound for the garage. just a possibility.Last edited by Bradford; Jan 17, 2009, 05:27 PM.sigpicBradford + TOTM April 2009 05 Thunderbird Cashmere #702 /1500 , ' 04 Acura TL, '79 Buick Electra Limited, Landau Coupe, '67 Mustang Convertible
