Me too, Aaron. Many thanks for jumping in here. On our recent cruise we opted to take MMM vs the NM. I'm Glad Spence had his on to show off. As noted avoe, it got rave's galore. Oh, and Gary, mine hasn't come of the NM yet either. Love the look, and the comments!!!

Had to take the trunk rack off over the weekend to get to some tree sap / bird mess on the deck....no marks on the finish, in fact after being cleaned you couldn't tell it had been there for a couple thousand miles.

I was looking at the Corvette rack a while back, I think the problem with it is that it's nonremovable. Also, how prone is it to rust? Looks good though!

I also like the look and the proportions. I would purchase another trunk deck for the permanent install. Any problem with rust could likely be contained since it would never be exposed to weather. Could also have it re-plated at a quality chrome shop.

That's a C-3 Corvette Rack for 1968 thru 1977 years. There are some on Ebay now, one brand new one in Tenn. Item # 170384530197 also includes all the mounting hardware. High bid right now $100.00 + $25.00 shipping. Leroy

                Looks great, much better proportions.

Is it just setting on the trunk for show ?
Can you post more pics without the glare?

                How does it attach?

Do you have a source & or pat number?

Sorry it is a photoshop. The glare is due to my association with Lou. He has me contracted to a plan where I must detail the car twice a day. Thus the shine is intense.

I really like the way this looks. I like the support bars going north and south like this one, rather than east and west like the one offered for the T-Birds. I know this is photoshopped, but I wonder if something like this would actually work.

I wanted to use a corvette or a 1966 mustang rack on my bird if it could be mounded properly. The problem with this was those racks were for trunks that were flat where our t-birds lines taper, Aaron's trunk rack follows the lines of our car and looks as if it was designed for it, which it was.

You can buy a new, still in the box 1970 Challenger rack on e-bay for only $9,500. Yes,"ninety-five hundred" There is also a used rack for only $149 but will need re-chrome. I would guess that the Challenger rack is too wide for the Retro Bird.
