    Re: Luggage Racks

Dave, Did you get yours on yet? How about some pictures. The way it looks to me is the bolts that secure the rack to the trunk lid are located on the outside. Would someone be able to remove the rack with out unlocking the trunk? And does the rack hit the back window when the trunk lid is all the way up? Leroy

Hope that it can because I saw a set whose color I think goes well with my TBird.
Oh Mike sorry, appologize to Evelyn for me, for posting that link.
Aaron, I agree. They are very nice, but if I had them I would carry heavy plastic to wrap them in event of a storm.

Dave: I doubt they would end up in a yard sale.....In the past, I have found that usually people who have luggage for their cars, trade it with the car.

It could possibly work. I have put the big airport bag on the rack and it's a little bulky looking... so, a low profile case would have to be the one for me. Also, it would be more aerodynamic.

The old Samsonite hard shell luggage would be just the ticket. Rounded corners, small wheels, and non absorbent exterior. A 2 suiter wouldn't be too bulky either. Just happen to have one in my attic.

Now all I need is the trunk rack.

              Re: Luggage Racks

For those of you that have them, and have installed them, what about the bracket clearance between the trunk lid and the quarter panels? Any chance of paint rubs, chips, or other issues that could cause a problem with the gap between them. This has been my concern since I first saw the rack. Thanks!

Spence, Looking forward to seeing the photos of the install process. You always do such a fantastic visual, leaving nothing out or to second guess about. Your post will be greatly appreciated.

How's that for putting on the pressure to get her done.

Nice photo's Gary. Take a higher one, so's to not show your TAG, and you got a perfect ToTM Photo. Love #2 for it, 'cept for the Tag showing. Somethings just should not be public. IMHO)

                            Hi Gary,
I liked those photos.... the colors were vibrant! You could use a program like photoshop and blur out the tags?

This has always confused me, I've seen many pics with the tag blanked out, but why? Heck anyone driving behind you see's it, why blank it out on the web?

So I am looking for a trunk rack, found this thread, went to TBird Concepts but can not find a link or anything on this product. Can someone please help. I'm planning a cross country trip in March and would LOVE this item.
                                Thank you.
